Proverbs 17:9 says “He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.”

“It’s just a little harmless gossip.” The Wise Teacher reminds us that gossip is neither little or harmless. Its consequences are huge and its damage horrible. Instead, it is much better to be a peacemaker and an offense mender.

SPANISH SS CLASS – Many of our church members are not aware that our church has a Sabbath School Class in Spanish.  The class meets every Sabbath in the mothers room. It is taught by Victor Moreno, Daniel & Alejandra Koch.

FLOWER MINISTRY – One ministry that often goes unnoticed is our Flower Ministry. Although most do not realize it is a ministry it is indeed. The flowers that are often donated by our church members are usually a gift to God of appreciation.  Our church thanks Branka for her leadership in this beautiful ministry.  If you would like to sign-up to gift our church and God flowers on Sabbath you can do so at the resource desk in our church foyer.

It’s February and that means one thing . . . It’s Have a Heart for ADRA month.  Check out one of our displays to see the exciting ways you can make a positive difference through the ADRA ministry.

CHURCH SERVICE – This past Sabbath, if you were not at church you missed hearing our Orchestra Ministry during our Sabbath worship service. As one church member said “It is such a blessing to part of a church that has its own Orchestra.”

LOST KEYS – If you have keys that you have lost at church call our church office Mon -Thurs 9am -1pm we may have your keys.

SABBATH LUNCH – Thank you to all who helped with our potluck last Sabbath. Our next potluck lunch is Sabbath, February 24, after Church Service. You can help in 3 ways:

   (1) Bring food for you, your family and to share with another family;
   (2) Make a monetary donation to the “Hospitality” fund;
   (3) Volunteer to help by simply stepping into the kitchen and asking if there is
anything you can do to be of assistance, and/or help cleanup afterwards.

Remember, many hands make light work.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION – Remember to save those labels from your Morning Star, Loma Linda, Worthington and other food and paper products. If you aren’t already doing so, start saving them and bring them to Church to drop off. They help the school earn needed funds. There is a box at the Resource Center where you can drop them off.

MISSION AKITA – Spring is almost here!  Mission Akita Spring 2018 is just around the corner!  Can you believe that this is our 4th Mission Akita event?! We would love to have you participate this Spring.  We have the final bridges to build, work to do on Walnut (reconstruction), and starting a new project of replacing floors in our older buildings!  In addition there is always landscaping, small maintenance jobs, and many other projects. Our format will be similar – arrival Wednesday, May 31 for supper and check in.  Thursday we will begin our work.  Scheduled work is for each morning followed by an opportunity to enjoy the camp in the afternoons.  Most of our volunteers get so wrapped up in their work and fellowship with each other that they just keep working.  We will leave camp on Wednesday, June 6.  Lodging and food are provided for our volunteers.  This is a great opportunity for members of all ages!

Jaime Jorge Concert: Alpine Christian School is organizing a fundraising concert with Jaime Jorge to help supporting our worthy students on Friday March 17th at 5 p.m. at the Schaumburg Covenant Church (hosted by WellSpring Adventist Church). Your presence and support is very important to give our children an opportunity to have Christian education.
